Four students from University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) participated in 6-8 weeks summer research in Poland. At the University of Gdansk: Jacqueline Rocha and Milimar Murillo, both Biotechnology majors studied with Prof. Sylvia Jafra, Michał Miętus and Blanca Hinojosa – Oceanography with Prof. Małgorzata Witak.

Daniel Willhelm, chemistry major, went to Technical University of Lodz and PAN Lodz and later to University of Warsaw, Chemistry Department to study under direction of Dr. Mirosław Pluta (PAN) and Prof. Ewa Górecka (UW). All brought back very good education experience and nice memories of Poland and the people they met.
