Our program will feature the powerful String Quartet No.3 by Dmitri Shostakovich called by the composer himself “The War Quartet”, a movement of mature String Quartet No. 23 by W.A. Mozart, and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s tumultuous String Quartet No.6 op.80 – the last piece he wrote before his untimely death. As always, you will learn more about the context of this powerful, passionate and highly narrative music as we present a short talk before each piece.

It is a great opportunity to bring your knowledge-hungry kids and music aficionado friends who like to expand their understanding of great art.
