You are cordially invited to a free lecture recital “Copernicus and Music of the Spheres” commemorating the 550th anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’ birth and the Polish Constitution Day, presented by Ars Lyrica Houston and sponsored by the Consulate General of Poland in Houston.

Prof. Christopher Johns-Krull, Chair of the Department of Astronomy at Rice University, will give a talk on Copernicus and music of the spheres, and Cecilia Duarte Mezzo-Soprano and percussionist Jesús Pacheco Mánuel will create an immersive experience with celestial music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Soprano Kinga Skretkowicz will sing Polish psalms by Mikolaj Gomolka and Jan Kochanowski
