“UNITE” – Acadiana Symphony Orchestra POLISH CONCERT

On September 11, 2020, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, Lafayette, Louisiana will presented a concert entitled “Unite”. This performance marks the beginning of the new concert season under the name “Revive!”. It is addressing the need to restore the performing arts which were particularly negatively affected by the current pandemic and the necessity of unity in overcoming the current challenges that the entire global community is facing.

If you missed the concert on 9/11, you can still enjoy it. It will be available for streaming until September 25, 2020.

We encourage all music and art enthusiasts to support the musicians as they struggle to survive this difficult time of the pandemics.

The concert includes music from Italy, Britain, Spain, the United States and will also prominently feature music by Polish composers. Kinga Augustyn, a young Polish violin virtuoso will join maestro Mariusz Smolij for the performance. Kinga presents the American premiere of Romuald Twardowski Violin Concerto, the world premiere of maestro’s Mariusz Smolij arrangement of George Gershwin’s Three Preludes and Pablo Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy.
