On Sunday, April 27, 2014 Pope Francis canonized Pope John XXII and Pope John Paul II.
The same day, archbishop-emeritus of Galveston-Houston, Joseph Fiorenza, dedicated a monument to the new saint, our Polish beloved Pope, Karol Wojtyla, John Paul II.
This monument is also dedicated to preservation and celebration of the memory of those of our parishioners who had passed away and who visibly enriched the life of our community.
