Join the Duo Dramatique musicians, Dominika Dancewicz and Andrew Schneider, for an exciting evening of two famous, muscular pieces for violin and piano!
WHEN November 15, 2025, 7 pm
WHERE First Congregational Church, 10840 Beinhorn Rd, Houston, TX 77024
Duo Dramatique performs Beethoven’s famous “Kreutzer” Sonata, initially dedicated to the famous violinist of African and Polish descent – George Bridgetower. The virtuoso was Beethoven’s friend and inspiration at the time, however, the Sonata’s dedication was quickly taken away and given to another famous violinist – Rudolphe Kreutzer – all out of falling out over a woman!
Another landmark on this program will be Mendelssohn’s grand Sonata in F Major (1838) which lay forgotten for more than 100 years after the composer’s death, only to be re-discovered and published in mid-20th century by the great violinist Yehudi Menuhin.
Duo Dramatique will also perform the elusive, charming “Nocturne” by French composer Lili Boulanger.
This concert will be full of passionate energy and riveting stories! Bring your friends, music fans, students!
This concert is FREE and open to all, however, donations will be accepted and appreciated.
Please, be aware that this concert is not appropriate for very young children: ages 7 and up only.
