A note from the Instructor

Hello! My name is Urszula Szuleta and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to teach you Polish as a Second Language! I was born and raised in Poland, where I also grew up and completed my education. In 2004 I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a Master of Arts degree, majoring in Education. I continued my studies, and in 2011 I earned a postgraduate degree in Polish as a Second Language from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
I started teaching Polish in Chicago in 2006, then from 2015 as an Adjunct Professor of Elementary Polish Language at the St. John Paul II Institute, University of St. Thomas in Houston. I have continually worked on improving my qualifications by participating in conferences, workshops, and additional courses that perfected my knowledge and approach to teaching. Being a native Pole, I love my country, its rich culture and traditions, and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to share all that with you. I am excited to have you in my class and join you on this fascinating journey of learning.
