Jerzy Kisielewski had a life that spanned the globe and touched numerous lives. After being born on December 23, 1950, in Olesno, Poland, Jurek later spent his formative years in Opole, Poland, where he excelled in numerous sports and completed his studies. Eventually, he emigrated to Austria and then South Africa where he met his wife, Bożena, and where his son Dominic was born.
Subsequently, with his family, Jurek moved to Canada and eventually found his way to Houston, Texas where he immediately became a strong part of the Polish Community, making too many friends to name individually and being known with Bożena to host a yearly New Year’s party at his house.
As an individual, Jurek was an avid sportsman, who could be found skiing on any slope or scuba diving in any ocean. He was also a man of knowledge being well-versed in music, history, cultures, and current events with the uncanny ability to select the perfect wine for any occasion. Finally, in his professional life, he was known as an excellent engineer who was able to tackle the most difficult projects.
But most importantly, he was a caring father to Dominic, a loyal husband to Bożena, and a joyful friend to numerous individuals. Although no longer with us, Jurek’s presence will still be felt by the numerous people that he touched in his life.
He will be buried in Poland, in Szczecin, according to his wishes.

We send our deepest sympathy and condolences To Bozena and Dominic for the loss of Jurek. We will remember the many happy times. Jurek will be sorely missed in every capacity. As a fellow engineer, he was brilliant in his field and a very modest, softspoken man who had his own distinctive charisma. He will always be in our hearts.
