Public visitation will be held at the Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home<\/strong> on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 5 – 8 pm<\/strong> and will be followed by the Rosary at 7 – 8 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A burial service at <\/strong>Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery<\/strong> will follow the mass at 11:30 am<\/strong> MAP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aniela was born on September 3, 1919, in Wolka Lamana Poland to her parents Jozef and Maria Staron. On January 14, 1948, She married Adam Skowronek. She had 4 children, Maria Czuprynowski, Jozef Skowronek, Roza Czaplicki and Ignacy Skowronek. She had grandchildren John Czuprynowski, Adam Czaplicki, Mark Czaplicki, Michelle Skowronek, Dominik Skowronek, Monika Wnuk, Edytka Skowronek, Urszula Skowronek, and 12 great-grandchildren.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was predeceased by her husband Adam, parents Jozef and Maria Staron, her siblings Katarzyna, Anna, and Michal Staron, and son Jozef Skowronek.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aniela was a hard-working survivor who lived through two world wars in Poland. She had an incredible sense of humor and memory until the end of her life. She loved singing her favorite songs and poems. She loved Polish food, especially pierogies. She had a huge passion for the outdoors. She lived on a farm and took care of all the animals growing up and she even planted forests. She especially loved collecting wild mushrooms and wild blueberries in the forests of Poland. She will be missed by us all.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aniela was the oldest Polish person in Houston – she lived 104 years. She was surrounded by family and friends at her 100th birthday celebration four years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
