{"id":48533,"date":"2023-06-30T16:31:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-30T22:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forum-polonia-houston.com\/?p=48533"},"modified":"2023-06-30T16:45:39","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T22:45:39","slug":"polonia-institute-announces-2023-historical-essay-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forum-polonia-houston.com\/?p=48533","title":{"rendered":"Polonia Institute Announces 2023 Historical Essay Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: <\/strong> Polonia Institute announces <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/poloniainstitute.net\/competition-on-polands-history\/2023-competition\/polonia-institute-announces-2023-historical-essay-competition\/\" target=\"_blank\">2023 Historical Essay Competition on the German extermination of ethnic Poles during WWII.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Essay Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The essay shall reflect the contestant\u2019s own research and original thinking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The paper shall not exceed 15 typed pages (including bibliography), shall be typed in 12-point font, double-spaced with 1\u201d margins; pages shall be numbered. The essay shall be submitted in the English language. All entries become the property of the Polonia Institute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2023 Essay Competition on the History of Poland is open to adults <strong>at least 18 years and older<\/strong> as of October 15, 2023. Proof of age is required. A copy of a valid document showing the date of birth is acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#cce5f4\"><strong>DEADLINE:\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0<strong>October 15, 2023<\/strong>. Results will be announced on or about November 11, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#cce5f4\"><strong>AWARDS:\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<strong>First Prize is $3,000.<\/strong>\u00a0Additional monetary awards may be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Additional essays may be considered for recognition and publication.\u00a0 Polonia Institute reserves the right to publish selected essays and\/or excerpts of selected essays in future publications, newsletters, and other materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Email your essay with the Application Form and proof of age to:  <a href=\"mailto:info@poloniainstitute.net\">info@poloniainstitute.net<\/a>  with&nbsp; cc to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"mailto:mszonert@yahoo.com\">mszonert@yahoo.com<\/a>.
